What is Branana?

Branana is a guided brand builder for small business owners. It helps you work out what suits your business, choose from designer-curated options, and build a complete identity without starting from scratch or hiring an agency.

Who is Branana for?

Founders, freelancers and small business owners who want their business to look more considered and professional, but don’t have the budget for a full branding project or the confidence to design it themselves.

Do I need previous design experience?

No. Branana is made for business owners, not designers.

You don’t need to know which typeface category to choose, what makes a good colour palette or what kind of logo you need. At the points where those choices matter, Branana gives you a recommendation and explains the thinking behind it.

What kinds of businesses can use Branana?

Pretty much any small business. Branana is built for businesses across health and fitness, professional services, e-commerce, trades, beauty and wellness, hospitality, tech, home and living, food and drink… you name it.

Is Branana only for new businesses?

No. You might be launching something new, finally giving a side project a proper identity, or rebuilding a brand that no longer feels right.

Branana works best when you’re ready to create a new visual direction rather than simply make a small tweak to what you already have.

Is Branana an AI branding tool?

Not in the one-click-logo-generator sense.

Branana combines human curation with automation. Designers shape the options, rules and creative logic behind the experience, while the platform uses your brief, positioning and competitors to help recommend what suits your business.

AI is used for specific tasks, including generating picture symbol options, but those are reviewed by a designer before you see them.

How is Branana different from Canva, ChatGPT, Claude or AI logo generators?

Those tools can help you make something that looks good enough in the moment. The harder bit is knowing whether the design choices actually work together, suit your business, and will still hold up when you need to put the brand on a website, sign, invoice or packaging.

Branana combines human curation with automation to get you all the way there. You choose from designer-curated options, get guidance on what suits your brief and competitive landscape, then leave with vector logo files (files that can be resized without losing quality), font files, a complete colour system and brand guidelines showing you how to use it.

You’re not left trying to turn a generated idea or a template into a usable brand yourself.

Is this the same as hiring a designer?

No. A designer creates a completely bespoke identity for you from the ground up.

Branana is more affordable because the creative system has already been built: designers curate the options and logic, then the platform guides you through applying them to your own business.

You still end up with a complete, distinct, usable identity (just through a different process).

What is a brand system and how is it different from a logo?

A logo is one part of your brand. A brand system brings your text logo, logo symbol, colours, fonts and writing style together so everything looks and feels like the same business.

Branana helps you build the whole system, not just one mark.

How it Works

What do I get at the end?

A complete identity you can actually use.

That includes your text logo, optional logo symbol, brand colours, brand fonts, writing style, downloadable logo assets and an online brand guide explaining how everything works together.

How long does it take?

There’s no need to finish your brand in one sitting.

Work through Branana at your own pace, save as you go and come back whenever you need to. Most stages are straightforward choices, while some are worth taking a little longer to compare.

If you choose a picture symbol, those options also go through a human review before they’re returned to you, so that stage has a short turnaround time.

Can I save my progress?

Yes. You can save your progress as you go and come back to keep working on your brand.

What does the 'writing style' section include?

Your writing style gives you a practical direction for how your business should sound in written words.

You’ll get guidance on things like tone, language and personality, with examples that make it easier to keep your website, captions, emails and customer messages feeling like they came from the same business.

Can I choose my own logo?

Yes, you make the final choice.

Branana shows your business name across designer-curated text logo options and recommends where we think you should start. You can follow that direction or choose something else that feels more like you.

What logo symbol options are included?

You can build a badge logo, initials logo or picture symbol.

Depending on the route you choose, Branana guides you through the decisions that shape it — from badge shape and initials treatment to the subject and style of a custom picture symbol.

Can I customise the colours?

Yes, within reason.

Branana gives you curated palettes and recommends what best suits your direction, but you can make small colour adjustments if something isn’t quite right.

Those edits are intentionally kept within a limited range so you can personalise the palette without accidentally pulling the whole system apart.

Can I upload my existing logo?

Not currently.

Branana is designed for creating a new identity or rebuilding one from the ground up, rather than adding new pieces around an existing logo.

Does Branana create business names?

No. You’ll need to have your business name before you start building your identity.

Does Branana write my website or social media copy?

No. Branana gives you a writing style to help you communicate consistently, but it doesn’t write your website, captions or marketing copy for you.

Think of it as the rules for how your business should sound, rather than a copywriting service.

Can I build more than one brand?

Yes, but each completed Branana purchase is for one brand.

If you want to create another identity for a different business, product or venture, you can start another brand separately.

Using Your Brand

What happens when I finish?

Before finalising, you’ll see your brand brought together and can go back to change anything you’re not happy with.

Once you confirm it, Branana prepares your finished logo files, brand assets and online brand guide.

You’ll always have access to your guidelines, so you can share them with suppliers, collaborators or your team, and come back to them as you roll your brand out.

What file formats do I get?

You’ll receive your logo assets in practical formats for digital and print use, including SVG and PNG, alongside your online brand guide which explains where each file type should be used.

Do I get a brand guide?

Yes. Your online brand guide brings your logos, colours, fonts, writing style and practical usage guidance together in one place.

It’s there to make sure you know what to use, where to use it and how to keep things consistent after you leave the builder.

Can I share my brand guide with suppliers?

Yes. Your brand guide lives online, so you can share a password protected link with designers, developers, printers, signwriters, packaging suppliers or anyone else helping bring the brand to life.

You’ll always have access to it too, so you can come back whenever you need a reminder.

Can I use my brand on my website and social media?

Yes. That’s what it’s built for.

Your identity is designed to work across the everyday places a small business shows up: websites, social media, emails, packaging, signage, documents, presentations and more.

Can I use my logo for print?

Yes. Your final files include formats suitable for both digital and print use.

Your brand guide also gives you the colour information and usage direction a printer or supplier will usually need.

Are fonts included?

Yes. Your chosen fonts are free to use commercially, and we’ll give you the links or files you need to install them.

Can I change my brand later?

You can go back and change your choices throughout the building process, right up until you confirm and finish your brand.

Once you finalise, that brand is complete and can no longer be edited inside Branana. You’ll still keep permanent access to your finished brand guide and assets.

Will my brand look completely custom?

Branana isn’t a bespoke design service, so it would be misleading to promise a completely custom identity.

What makes the result yours is the combination of choices: your brief, style, text logo, colour system, logo symbol, typography and writing style all come together around your business.

For founders who want something created entirely from scratch, a custom designer is still the better fit.

Is this enough to launch with?

For most small businesses, yes.

You’ll leave with the core identity you need to show up consistently: logos, colours, fonts, writing style, ready-to-use assets and clear brand guidelines.

You may still need things specific to your business (like a website, packaging design or signage) but you’ll have the system those things should be built from.
