AI tools can help with everything from writing social posts and emails to planning website content or creating visual ideas. The better the information you give them, the more useful the result is likely to be.
Once you have a Branana brand, you already have a lot of that information worked out. Your logo, colours, fonts and writing style can become part of the brief you give an AI tool, so you’re not asking it to invent a new direction every time you make something.
Before asking an AI tool to create something for your business, give it the parts of your brand that matter for the job. For writing, that might be your business name, what you do and the writing style from your Branana brand guide. For visual work, you might also include your HEX colour values, font names and logo files.
You don’t need to share your entire brand guide every time. If you’re writing an email, your writing style might matter much more than your logo. If you’re creating a visual, your colours, fonts and logo will be more useful. If the AI tool allows you to attach files or images, you can also share relevant brand assets or screenshots from your guide.
A simple prompt like this gives the tool a useful starting point:
I’m going to share some information about my brand. Use it as the guide for anything you create in this conversation. Keep to the colours, fonts and writing style I provide, and don’t introduce a new brand direction unless I ask you to.
Then add the information it needs from your Branana guide. Don’t rely on sharing a link to your guide as these are password protected. It’s safer to paste the important information directly into your conversation or attach it where the tool allows.
OpenAI recommends being clear and specific about the task, context and style you want, then refining the result with follow-up instructions if needed.

Once you’ve shared your brand information, be clear about what you actually want the AI to help you make. For example, you could ask it to write an Instagram caption in your writing style, plan the content for a landing page, suggest ideas for a promotion or create an image that works with your existing brand colours.
The useful distinction is between asking AI to apply your brand and asking it to invent your brand again. If you’ve already chosen your identity in Branana, you usually don’t need an AI tool introducing a new colour palette, a different tone of voice or a completely different visual direction every time you ask it for help.
For example:
Using the brand information I’ve shared, help me create a launch email for my new product. Keep the writing consistent with my writing style and don’t introduce any new brand elements.
You can keep refining from there. If something feels too formal, too colourful or simply unlike your business, tell the tool what isn’t working and ask it to try again. AI works best as a back-and-forth process rather than expecting the first result to be perfect.
AI can still get things wrong, even when you give it good instructions. Before publishing anything, compare the result with your Branana brand guide. Check that the colours are right, the correct logo has been used, the fonts make sense and the writing still sounds like your business.
For visual work in particular, don’t assume an AI-generated version of your logo is the same as the real thing. Use the supplied Branana logo files in your final artwork wherever possible. If the AI tool can’t use your actual font or logo correctly, you can add those afterwards in Canva, your website builder or another design tool.
Your brand doesn’t need to stop you experimenting with AI. It simply gives the tool something clearer to work from and gives you something to check the result against.
